Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and virtualization environments.
- Oversee system security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal departments across multiple locations.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration with on-premise legacy systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute major IT upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly desirable.
- Experience with government compliance standards (NIST, FISMA) is a major plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
