Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor network traffic and security protocols to protect federal data assets from cyber threats.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to federal staff regarding network connectivity and hardware issues.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incidents for compliance and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and Windows Server environments.
- Active or ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced government environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
