Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and security protocols.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve technical incidents.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff and contractors.
- Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Document network configurations and maintain detailed technical records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade and modernize legacy systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in network administration and IT support.
- Familiarity with federal IT environments and specific government regulations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
