Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal systems.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network anomalies and security breaches.
- Administer and secure Windows Server environments and Linux systems in compliance with federal security standards (FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor network traffic and performance metrics to identify potential vulnerabilities and optimize bandwidth.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Required for all federal positions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR 4 years of additional specialized experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in network administration and IT support.
- Certifications: Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco IOS, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), and firewalls.
