In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network environments. You will work closely with various departments to implement robust IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and transparency within the government.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) across all municipal facilities.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software systems for government staff.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners for system integration and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a related technical role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Proven experience working within the public sector or government environment is a plus.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
