Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and network segments.
- Technical Support: Provide Level 3 support for hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for county operations.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
- System Administration: Manage server maintenance, user accounts, and access permissions within the Active Directory environment.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and technical maintenance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or systems engineering within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent IT certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
