Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server environments and network architecture to support high-traffic government applications.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems and databases by proactively monitoring system health and performance.
- Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate emerging cloud technologies.
- Perform system troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system administrators and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration within a large-scale enterprise or government environment.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is a significant plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
