Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for state systems.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions that align with state regulations and best practices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications and database environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Conduct regular system security audits and implement necessary patches to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve user experience and streamline administrative processes.
- Provide technical support and training to government staff regarding new software and hardware implementations.
- Create detailed documentation for all system changes and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems analysis, development, or support.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a Tennessee State Government background check and security clearance.
