Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to county employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware and software including Windows operating systems, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage and maintain the Active Directory environment, including user accounts and group policies.
- Monitor network performance and respond to incidents to ensure 99.9% system availability.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement system upgrades and security patches.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new software applications and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation may be required for occasional on-site support.
