Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to county employees via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware and software including Windows operating systems, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Manage and maintain the Active Directory environment, including user accounts and group policies.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to incidents to ensure 99.9% system availability.
  • Document all technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in the Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to implement system upgrades and security patches.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on new software applications and security best practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation may be required for occasional on-site support.
