Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures to support county operations.
- Oversee the administration of virtualization environments and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system administrators and IT support staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve service delivery.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration, with a focus on cloud technologies and Windows/Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and identity management (Active Directory).
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within a government or large enterprise environment is a plus.
