Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local and wide-area networks, servers, and hardware infrastructure.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive county data.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to county staff and resolve complex IT issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT upgrades and migrations.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal information security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
