Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues for county employees and departments.
- Network & Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Asset Management: Assist in the inventory management, deployment, and configuration of hardware and software assets across the organization.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict government security protocols and assist in the implementation of data protection measures.
- User Assistance & Training: Provide guidance and training to staff members on new technologies and standard operating procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations in the service desk management system.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Government Experience: Previous experience in a government or public sector environment is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
