As a key member of our Technology Services division, you will lead server migrations, optimize cloud architectures, and enforce robust security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Azure/AWS).
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- High Availability: Manage Active Directory and ensure 99.9% uptime for county applications.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and conduct technical training sessions.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex system outages and performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation for all systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in systems administration, preferably within the public sector.
- Certifications: Valid certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or CompTIA Security+.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for system maintenance windows.
