Responsibilities
- Provide tier-2 technical support to county employees via phone, email, and in-person visits, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on desktop computers, printers, and network peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and deploy software updates, patches, and security configurations across county workstations.
- Assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN) and wireless access points.
- Document all technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system to maintain accurate records.
- Conduct user training sessions on new software applications and security protocols.
- Collaborate with the IT Systems Administrator to implement new technology solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent military technical experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and basic network troubleshooting concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Reliable transportation for occasional on-site maintenance.
