Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple city departments.
- Monitor and maintain network security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Manage and deploy desktop environments using Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11.
- Document technical procedures and assist in the creation of IT asset inventories.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex technical challenges and upgrade systems.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal IT regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Valid CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with non-technical staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings for critical system maintenance.
