Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Implement and maintain robust security protocols compliant with federal regulations (NIST, FISMA).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents, coordinating with response teams and law enforcement.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to government staff to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government contracting or public sector IT.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret).
