Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county's core network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government systems from cyber threats.
- Develop and deploy internal software solutions and automate administrative tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various county departments.
- Perform regular system audits and updates to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and streamline business processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or IT support.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
