Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to safeguard county data and sensitive citizen information.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal departments and end-users.
- Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and routine maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical solutions and improve system efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of network hardware and software licenses to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel between county facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IP networking.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Professional are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
