Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux environments).
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific security standards.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal staff and government stakeholders.
- Conduct regular system backups, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Document technical processes and maintain detailed system logs for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support in a government or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
