Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and repair servers, workstations, and peripherals for internal staff.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and prevent cyber threats.
- Provide tier 2 and tier 3 technical support to resolve complex IT issues efficiently.
- Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with vendors and other IT departments to manage hardware inventory and software licensing.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems administration within a corporate or government environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with networking concepts, TCP/IP, and VPN configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
