Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain enterprise servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure during weekend shifts
- Execute system patches, updates, and security protocols to ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for critical state applications and citizen-facing portals
- Document incident reports, system configurations, and disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with on-site teams during critical outages and system transitions
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for enterprise systems
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and emergency response rotations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years administering Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization technologies
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues using tools like Wireshark and Nagios
- Strong documentation skills and experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (for occasional on-site visits)
