Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security for federal clients.
- Manage and troubleshoot server environments, including Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Implement and enforce information security protocols, ensuring compliance with NIST and federal standards.
- Provide advanced technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new IT solutions and upgrade existing systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all systems, processes, and configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent years of experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
