Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Design: Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements to design, develop, and implement efficient and effective IT systems and software solutions.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal hardware, software, and network issues across the department.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and user manuals.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Data Management: Monitor database performance, ensure data integrity, and implement security protocols to protect sensitive government information.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to manage software licenses, upgrades, and service contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL, and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Certifications: ITIL or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
