Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming mail and packages by route and address.
- Delivery Duties: Safely deliver mail and parcels to residential and business customers along an assigned route.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle packages with care.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and operate delivery vehicles and handheld scanning devices.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and traffic laws.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery records and handle undeliverable mail according to regulations.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal permanent resident status.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk/drive for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Driving: Valid driver's license (if operating a vehicle) and clean driving record.
