Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming mail and packages efficiently and accurately to meet daily production standards.
- Deliver mail to residential and business addresses along established routes in a safe and timely manner.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public to resolve inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the safety and security of the mail in your care during transit and while on duty.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting packages weighing up to 70 pounds and walking long distances daily.
- Adhere to all USPS safety protocols, operational procedures, and uniform standards.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and transportation search.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license (if operating a vehicle) and a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in all weather conditions.
