Responsibilities
- Sort and organize mail and packages according to delivery routes and addresses.
- Deliver mail to residential and business customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collect and process incoming mail and return undeliverable items.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and handling special handling requests.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper handling of equipment and vehicles.
- Adhere to all USPS safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient mail flow.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Valid state driver's license (depending on specific role).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk or stand for long periods.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
