Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately according to USPS standards.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring all parcels and mail are handled with care and safety.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along established routes.
- Obtain customer signatures for registered or certified mail and collect fees for C.O.D. items.
- Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and work areas to ensure safety and compliance.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve any service inquiries or complaints.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while driving.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
- A valid driver's license is preferred but not always mandatory depending on the specific role (CDL not required for entry-level).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat.
- Must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
