Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail by size, shape, and address to ensure accurate delivery.
- Deliver Mail: Travel established routes on foot or by vehicle to deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial customers.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and obtain signatures for certified or registered mail.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on assigned vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
- Work Safely: Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and traffic laws, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Mail Handling: Handle sensitive documents and packages with the highest level of care and integrity.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or hold permanent resident status.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license (Class B preferred) is required for vehicle delivery routes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk/drive for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with the public and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions and routes.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
