Responsibilities
- Sort and organize incoming mail and packages efficiently to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Deliver mail and packages along established routes in all weather conditions, including snow and rain.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions, and collecting fees for CODs or special services.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area, adhering to safety regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and USPS driving safety protocols while operating a delivery vehicle.
- Handle special delivery instructions and manage undeliverable mail according to postal regulations.
- Perform light maintenance and inspections on delivery vehicles.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or national or lawfully admitted alien with permanent resident status.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly on a daily basis.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Ability to read maps, street signs, and delivery lists efficiently.
- Pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
