Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Sort and deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions regarding mail services, and resolve complaints efficiently.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of vehicles and maintain them in a clean and safe operating condition.
- Physical Stamina: Lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 lbs over varying terrains and weather conditions.
- Security: Protect postal equipment, property, and cash in transit while adhering to strict security protocols.
- Route Management: Efficiently manage assigned delivery routes to ensure all mail is distributed accurately.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a United States citizen or resident alien.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and a valid driver's license.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 70 lbs repeatedly and pass a mandatory physical exam.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with the public.
- Driving: Valid driver's license with a safe driving record (commercial license preferred but not always required).
- Residency: Must be willing to travel to various locations within the Tucson area.
