Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to customers along a designated route in all weather conditions.
- Sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for transport to the post office.
- Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle claims or complaints.
- Operate a delivery vehicle (truck or van) safely and adhere to traffic laws.
- Ensure the security of mail, including accountable and registered items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work vehicle and station.
- Adhere to all USPS safety regulations and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Valid driver's license (commercial class C preferred) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship or proof of legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check and a physical examination.
