Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages according to address, size, and priority.
- Deliver to Customers: Navigate established routes to deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers in a timely manner.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate delivery vehicles (trucks or vans) and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and handling package exceptions professionally.
- Physical Stamina: Lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; stand and walk for long periods.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, security protocols, and USPS procedures to ensure the safety of mail and personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Driver’s License: A valid state driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and delivery routes accurately.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends as required.
