Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city buildings, parks, and recreational facilities
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools
- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Assist with emergency response and storm preparedness activities
- Coordinate with other city departments for maintenance projects
- Complete maintenance logs and reports accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery safely
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Preferred: EPA 608 Refrigerant certification
