Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (snow plows, street sweepers, etc.)
- Perform infrastructure inspections and preventive maintenance
- Respond to public works emergencies (weather events, utility issues)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams on improvement projects
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- 3+ years public works or heavy equipment operation experience
- Certification in infrastructure maintenance preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including emergency call-outs
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
