Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (snow plows, graders, landscaping tools)
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during severe weather events
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and municipal protocols
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
- Participate in community outreach programs for infrastructure awareness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or infrastructure maintenance
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Basic proficiency in GIS mapping and digital reporting tools
- Excellent physical condition and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
