Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities and infrastructure
- Operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to citizen service requests within specified timeframes
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in emergency response duties as needed
- Adhere to all city policies and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Experience with hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Basic knowledge of OSHA safety protocols
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Preferred: 1+ years in municipal maintenance or related field
