Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city streets, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and snow removal equipment
- Assist with emergency response during severe weather events
- Support construction and repair projects city-wide
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Document work activities and equipment usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Massachusetts Class D driver's license
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Experience with construction or maintenance work a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical exam
