Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including landscaping, street sweeping, and park maintenance
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, hand tools) following safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Support waste collection and recycling initiatives
- Respond to public service requests and minor infrastructure repairs
- Participate in emergency preparedness and disaster response duties
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inspection records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Virginia Driver's License required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscaping or construction tools preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Must be available for occasional weekend/evening shifts
