Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance, including pothole repairs and line painting
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers) and hand tools for infrastructure upkeep
- Assist in snow removal and emergency storm response operations
- Execute waste collection and recycling duties across designated zones
- Conduct park maintenance and green space beautification projects
- Support fleet maintenance and equipment inventory management
- Document daily operations and submit activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid DC driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Previous municipal or construction experience a plus
