Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, and dump trucks
- Assist in stormwater drainage system repairs and inspections
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping and playground upkeep
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work records and safety compliance documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
