Responsibilities
- Maintain city parks, facilities, and green spaces using heavy equipment and hand tools
- Perform preventative maintenance on municipal buildings and infrastructure
- Operate machinery including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years of facility maintenance or groundskeeping experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
