Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and sidewalks
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, street sweepers, and mowers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs within city guidelines
- Conduct safety inspections of municipal equipment and sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and incident reports
- Participate in disaster response initiatives during emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal or public works maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions including extreme heat/humidity
- Strong knowledge of Miami municipal codes and safety protocols
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical exam
