Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including parks, sidewalks, and public buildings
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal properties to identify hazards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated project execution
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Assist in community beautification initiatives and special events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
