Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with municipal standards
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests within specified timeframes
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on public improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Support community events through facility setup and logistics coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of facility maintenance or construction experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
