Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, graders, and trenchers safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily inspections of municipal assets and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and material inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency highly valued
