Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on city buildings, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, snowplows, and landscaping equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and implement OSHA-compliant procedures
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on capital improvement projects
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Train junior staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in commercial or municipal settings
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with maintenance software (e.g., CMMS)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
