Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and specialized municipal equipment
- Respond to emergency service calls during extreme weather events
- Conduct safety inspections and comply with OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and digital reporting systems
- Participate in community beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency with hydraulic systems, HVAC, and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergency shifts
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Miami-Dade County residency required
