Responsibilities
- Maintain city infrastructure including roads, parks, and public facilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (snowplows, graders, etc.)
- Respond to emergency public works situations during inclement weather
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on municipal assets
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and businesses
- Document work activities and submit daily reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and emergency situations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
