Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery and light vehicles, including dump trucks and jackhammers, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect public facilities and grounds to ensure safety and compliance with municipal standards.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and citizen inquiries regarding city services promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and materials consumed.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of public works professionals to execute large-scale projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance tools is preferred.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
