Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, dump trucks, and jackhammers.
- Inspect infrastructure for safety hazards and report findings to supervisors.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and severe weather incidents.
- Assist in flood control projects and storm drain cleaning operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in public works, landscaping, or general construction is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts as needed.
